An Indoor Golf Environment with Modern & Realistic Features

Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen a huge increase in the demand for indoor practice facilities – whether it may be a room containing a simple putting green, or a next generation simulator. We really believe in making golf more accessible for the many, regardless of age or ability – and it said that the majority of newcomers find it easier learning in a modern and comfortable environment, with modern technology. As with outdoor greens, indoor greens can also be modified with additional features including bunkers, a range of fringe grasses, mini fairways and teeing areas. Our indoor bunkers are constructed and shaped using concrete, before then being overlaid with fringe apron grass. The bunker is then filled with natural bunker sand. If you’re searching for a large, multi-purpose area, head over to our Training Academies page where you’ll find further information on Indoor Short Courses, Target Greens, Driving Cages and Adventure Golf.

Indoor Putting Greens

Clubs & Coaches understand how frustrating it can be with limited course time in the UK winter months due to the issues of course playability, and generally, golfers and especially newcomers, being less interested in playing in the worsening winters! Having an indoor facility available for hire, and open for lessons and demo’s can dramatically increase winter revenue and customer retention. We can take care of your installation every step of the way – including Modular Panel Base Installation, Contoured Putting Green Installation, Signage & Panoramic Wall Graphics, Putter Holders and More. Due to the variety of flooring surfaces out there, we understand that there is no one solution that fits all when it comes to having a realistic, indoor golf green installed. That’s why we’ve developed a number of install methods, to ensure that you can benefit from a professional golf green installation, no matter what your current area surface is like. Innovative and Patented Modular Panel Technology

Modular Panel installations have become more common within the indoor-golf industry, but it is only recently that Active Golf Projects have once again revolutionised this system to remain one step ahead of the competition. Our Modular Greens are now installed with a 100mm Styrofoam base, before installing the modular panels. A common issue until now, was that you could not have a sturdy and professional cup to replicate that of a realistic green hole. The added depth of the styrofoam base allows us to provide this method where required. Polystyrene is then cut and shaped to build the green contours. One of our premier putting and fringe surfaces will then be laid on top and cut to shape, to provide a smooth and realistic green. The quality of the finished product is easily comparable to an outdoor putting green. The panels can either be supplied and installed in set-sizes, or custom made to fit your room or facility.

Foam Underlay Support

We've seen a huge increase in the demand for indoor practice facilities - whether it may be a room containing a putting green, or a next-gen simulator.

If you have an seamless timber or concrete base, a modular panel install may not be required. In this instance, we can simply use on of our 10-25mm cushion underlays, to ensure that the surface is completely flat, and the ball roll speed remains accurate. Once again, we can still build contours and in some cases cut holes into your base, to ensure you can benefit from a realistic indoor practice facility. Cushion Underlays are not a mandatory product either, if we are confident that your surface is level and even enough for the ball roll to react naturally to your shots, then we can simply install our market leading grass products on top of the surface.

Driving Cage & Simulator Facilities

Driving Cages, Target Nets and Simulators are a perfect way for a player to hone their long-game skills, and they can be fitted indoor allowing all year-round use. Clubs can generate additional revenue streams from Lessons & Demonstrations, as well as Hire Options for Simulator Rooms, which can also be very profitable.
